Geological map of the Netherlands to be ordered online

The Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN) recently published a new geological map of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This beautiful folded survey map is now available from our webshop.

For the first time in almost half a century, there is a new geological map of the Netherlands. The previous edition, from 1975, did not show the Caribbean part of the kingdom. The geology of the North Sea has also been mapped in detail in the 2023 version. The survey map shows tidal deposits in green, river deposits in blue, and ice age deposits in pink, among other things. The map has a mapping scale of 1:600,000 and is based on previously published data, supplemented with new information and insights.
