Walking route ‘Natural Stones of Leiden’
Leiden has many buildings made with natural stone elements. These are not only old, monumental buildings, but also modern ones. This city walk runs from the Central Station to Hooglandse Church and back to the Central Station.
This geological route is only available in Dutch.
The first seven locations on the route have since been demolished or renovated to the point that the natural stone described is no longer present. Fortunately, there are still 32 locations on the route to admire. For the optimal walking experience, it's best to start at the eighth location.
