What can you see on the geological map of the Netherlands?
The Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN) has released a brand new geological map of the Netherlands. But what makes this map so special, and what can you find on it?
What makes this new geological map so special is the fact that it is the first ever survey map showing the geology of the entire Kingdom of the Netherlands. Previous editions of the map did not include the Caribbean part of the kingdom. In addition, recent decades have seen huge improvements in the methods and techniques used to carry out geological surveys. With the help of 3D modelling, GDN can now produce even more detailed, higher quality, and more beautiful geological maps.
