Detection system to protect the seabed
Geophysicists from the Geological Survey of the Netherlands, together with other TNO colleagues, have developed a method to detect ships close to sea cables. This technology with dark fibers could make an important contribution to safety in the North Sea.
Geophysicists in the field of data acquisition and signal processing at the Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN) applied technology commonly used to detect and locate earthquakes to develop a possible detection system to protect cables and pipelines on the seabed.
