GDN participates in the GeoWeek 2025
The GeoWeek 2025 will take place from Monday 12 May to Friday 23 May. Just like the previous edition, ‘the week’ will last two weeks again this year.
The Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN) is once again participating in the 19th edition of the GeoWeek this year. Various GDN experts give guest lectures spread over schools throughout the Netherlands. For example, students can drill soil in the schoolyard or crack digital codes in a GIS. Because this week is all about doing it yourself, each guest lesson has a practical part. In this way, students experience that geography has a direct influence on their world.
During the GeoWeek, thousands of students are introduced to the geo-working field. Water, soil and geodata are the most important pillars. All expeditions can be found on the GeoWeek website.
