GeoWeek 2024 Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN)
GeoWeek 2024 will take place from Monday the 13th to Friday the 24th May. What’s new this year is that ‘the week’ will last not one, but two weeks.
The Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN) is participating in GeoWeek again this year. During this edition, several GDN geologists will again share their knowledge and love for the subsurface. They will do this during various guest lectures spread throughout the Netherlands. Each guest lecture will have a practical component, enabling pupils to experience the direct impact geography has on their living environment.
The GeoWeek will introduce thousands of schoolchildren to the geographical work field. The main pillars are geodata, soil, and water. In addition to guest lectures in schools, company visits will also take place. Participation in GeoWeek is free for schools.
