Geological Survey of the Netherlands is co-organising the EPIS conference

The Earthquake Physics & Induced Seismicity (EPIS) Workshop & Conference will take place from 11 to 15 November 2024. The event is organised by Geological Survey of the Netherlands (GDN), TNO, Utrecht University, NWO, and DeepNL, in collaboration with the TREAD Doctoral Network and EPOS-NL.

EPIS consists of two consecutive parts. On Monday 11th, Tuesday 12th and Wednesday afternoon 13th November a workshop featuring lectures and tutorials on ‘Earthquake Physics’ will be organised by the members of the TREAD Doctoral Network. This workshop is of interest to PhD’s starting in the topic of earthquake physics and induced seismicity, as well as other researchers who are interested to deepen their knowledge on the subject.

Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th November are dedicated to the conference ‘Induced Seismicity in Sedimentary Formations’. The second part is organised by GDN, TNO, NWO and Utrecht University. This conference is aimed at national and international attendees, working, amongst others, in academia, at (applied) research institutes, government, and industry partners.

EPIS is followed by the DeepNL Scientific Meeting on Friday 15th November.
