TNO-GDN Workshop at the DAP Symposium 2025

On Tuesday, June 10, Stichting DAP (Delft Geothermal Project) hosts the annual Delft Geothermal Symposium. Geological Survey of the Netherlands at TNO (TNO-GDN) will participate with the interactive workshop ‘Deeper Insight into the Subsurface: working with ThermoGIS.’

During our workshop, you will get acquainted with ThermoGIS: our web-based geographic information system that displays the regional potential of geothermal energy and high temperature aquifer thermal energy storage (HT-ATES) in the Netherlands. Together with our participants, we will explore the potential and feasibility of geothermal energy and HT-ATES at one or more specific locations in the Netherlands.

What to expect:

  • An interactive session on the suitability of geothermal energy and HT-ATES in the Netherlands.
  • Introduction to the Geological Survey of the Netherlands and our work.
  • Unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences.
  • Working in groups with ThermoGIS to calculate the technical and economic potential of geothermal energy and/or HT-ATES in a specific area.
  • Discuss these findings with fellow experts.

Add our workshop to your calendar today!

We look forward to meeting you the 10th of June. Our workshop is from 13:20 to 14:20 Will you mark it in your calendar? It’s helpful to bring your own laptop.
